I had the privilege of being invited to Berlin recently for the Creator Summit EU courtesy of Amazon’s Influencer Program, an event that was focussed more on fashion, beauty and lifestyle than woodworking, so it was my absolute pleasure to catch up with the other old guy in the room, Mr Robin Clevett @ukconstruction and ask him a few questions, appropriately in the Mens Grooming section of the event, and here’s how it went…

Really surprised that more people aren’t watching this. I found the insights from the both of you really good.
I found that interview session REALLY interesting. I would definitely watch more of these Q & A things with other YouTube/woodworkers and could easily be captivated for 20 mins or more. Please arrange one of these with Stewart from Proper DIY.
I did "O" Level woodwork and metalwork at school but struggled slightly with woodwork as in my eyes it was too easy to make a mistake, one slip with a chisel, etc.
I remember learning how to make Dovetail Joints (by hand back then) by making a tea tray. Unfortunately, if we got the Dovetails wrong, we had to cut them off and start again.
I recall getting mine wrong several times and in the end I had to turn my tea tray over and use it as a tea pot stand 🤣🤣.
At least by then my dovetails were almost passable 😁
you gotta make the display cabinet it applies to anything not just watches.
you inspire beginner woodworkers to have a go!
